FAMILY RECONCILIATION MEDIATION PROGRAM (FRMP)
Mirror Bridge has partnered with Melbourne City Mission’s (MCM) Family Reconciliation Mediation Program to support young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Together with MCM, our aims are:
1 – To help young people stay or return home, if safe and appropriate; and/or
2 – Recover from trauma related to family conflict and breakdown; and/or
3 – Connect/reconnect with family or other natural supports.
We can offer up to 10 initial therapeutic sessions that can be funded by MCM’s FRMP. When the young person and parent engages well with the sessions, we can continue beyond these initial 10 sessions.
A young person can benefit from these supports if they:
1 – Are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of homelessness:
2 – Are aged 16 to 25 years;
3 – Have consented to and are ready to engage in the specified intervention; and
4 – Have a Case Plan which is aligned with FRMP objectives
